Tomorrow Is Yours

--Second Chances. Dignity. Stability.--

Empowering formerly incarcerated individuals, particularly African Americans to rebuild their lives.

"With compassion, structure, and opportunity, people can overcome their past and build a brighter future."
— Mr. Makane Diakite, Founder

Our Origin Story

Tomorrow Is Yours Foundation was formally established in 2022 by Mr. Makane Diakite, who transformed his personal journey of hardship into a powerful platform for community empowerment.

After facing the challenges of reentry himself: limited opportunities, housing instability, and the stigma attached to a criminal record. Mr. Diakite recognized that many African American formerly incarcerated individuals in New York were experiencing the same struggles without access to culturally responsive support.

Motivated by the growing demand for assistance after years of informally helping his community, he founded the organization to reach those who often go unnoticed in the broader reentry space.
